Dedicated facility to hire over 150 hourly warehouse workers
Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced today that it will open a distribution center in New Caney, Texas, to support the expansion of a major retail client. Slated to open in August 2021, the dedicated facility will create more than 150 new warehouse jobs in the area.
Saddle Creek has already begun hiring for leadership positions at the facility. In late June, the company will begin hiring hourly warehouse workers, including forklift operators, warehouse leads, inventory and quality control associates, yard drivers and customer service representatives.
The new distribution center is currently under construction at the East Montgomery County Industrial Park in New Caney. It will provide more than 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space and is expected to be the largest industrial building in the county. The facility will be one of seven that Saddle Creek manages for the retailer.
“We have been working with this client for nearly a decade, and we’re excited to continue expanding their distribution operations,” said Bob Blankenship, Regional Senior Director, Operations, at Saddle Creek. “We look forward to being part of the greater Houston-area community and welcoming new associates to our team.”
